NO ONE IS AN ISLAND, 2021

When entering the smoke filled industrial building, a second semi-transparent space arrises, a rough yet elegant landscape of steps, floors and bodies. To reach its center, one needs to pass through it. The whole presents itself as an intimate space with both edges going upwards, almost touching the ceiling. A presumably simple object floats in the air, slowly rotating through the space, slowly changing through time. Once at its heart, you are embraced by the structure and other like-minded people, ready to float away. One must rely on the company and comfort of others in order to thrive.

Space and light design of the main stage at Horst Music & Arts festival, in collaboration with Onkruid.
